Frequently Asked Questions
How much do you charge?
The cost of a cake varies greatly depending on the size, shape, and amount of labor necessary to create it. I always try to save you money and give you options!
What flavors do you offer?
Anything you can think of. I do not like to limit people with options, so if you want your cake to taste like a "dreamsicle", that's what you're getting! Your cake, your flavors. However, my most frequently requested flavors are white "wedding" cake, chocolate, and coconut.
Do you offer tastings?
I offer tastings for wedding cakes, along with a consultation. Tastings are $20 to sample two flavors of cake and buttercream, or $30 to sample three flavors of cake and buttercream.
Where are you located?
I work out of my home, and operate under the Texas Cottage Food Law. I have a Texas Food Handler's card and am also ServSafe certified. Information regarding the Texas Cottage Food Law can be found here: https://dshs.texas.gov/foodestablishments/cottagefood/default.aspx
What forms of payment do you accept?
I accept PayPal, Venmo, Check, Money Order, and Cash. If you pay with cash, you will receive a receipt, please keep it for your records.
Why do you require a deposit?
I ask for a deposit to save your event date. A deposit tells me that you will indeed order. Failure to pay a deposit in a timely manner may result in another client taking that event date.
I saw that you do not make "duplicate" cakes. What do you mean?
Not only will I not copy another artist's work, but I will not recreate one of my own cakes. I request creative license so that each cake is unique to you and your celebration. The cake you get will be like none other.
Can I send you pictures I found on Pinterest or Google?
Absolutely, and I encourage it. Please note that the cake I create for you will NOT be identical to the photos you sent. When you order, I ask many questions in order to understand what you are looking for. Keep in mind, you can never give me too much information!
Do you deliver?
I offer free delivery on all orders to Wichita Falls, Burkburnett, and Iowa Park Texas.
Do you offer gluten free or sugar substitute options?
Unfortunately, I have very little experience with safe gluten free baking or sugar substitution. However, a very good friend and fellow baker is an expert on it. Please check out her Facebook Page here.
